• General Meeting with Book Binding Activity and Pottery Books Sale

  We’re launching monthly General Meetings on the 4th Sunday of the month, each one paired with a hands-on workshop for a creative and engaging experience.

  This first meeting will feature a unique workshop with Maria Gould leading us in a hands-on bookbinding session. Come make a simple journal/sketchbook to keep track of your ideas, glazing combinations, firing results or grocery lists!

  Students will make a decorated cover, sew pages to make a simple folio and put the two parts together. There is a lot of gluing involved so be prepared to get your fingers sticky.

  All materials will be provided.

  We'll also be hosting a pottery-themed book sale at this event with titles every clay lover will appreciate.

  Join us for a short meeting, and stick around for the fun!

  P.S. Please note that you DO NOT have to sign up to attend a general meeting.  You DO have to sign up if you are staying for the workshop.  This will allow us to have the proper quantity of materials available.

• September Curator Vendor Pop Up

  Set up a pop up shop of  your ceramic wares at one of our favorite locations: Curator Coffee. Space is limited but there is covering overhead, so no tent needed (yay!) and no table fees for members (double yay!)   Non-members pay $10 table fee. If you can't be a vendor, come buy from some great SA artisans.

  Get a peek into the tool box of one of our favorite master potters, Ray Morales!  After a brief General Meeting, Ray will share some of his many creative ideas for making your own tools. He will show us many of his amazing handmade tools , such as wire cutters, scratch tools, ribs, and stamps. Attendees will have the opportunity to create several tools and will leave with many ideas to make tools using simple and  readily available materials.
